To seek counseling, a person is demonstrating a sign of strength! It is important to create a safe, confidential, and trusting environment so that healing takes place. Each person has their own unique history filled with experiences that have helped to shape their world view. I believe in meeting people right where they are as they venture into greater personal awareness. We all have the answers within, and we need to be fully heard for change to occur.

I obtained my Masters of Social Work from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign. I worked in the public school setting for 15-years and have been in private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist for the past 11-years. My background in School Social Work allowed me to work with children, teens, and families with a wide range of issues including: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum, Behavior challenges, Anger Management, Anxiety, and Depression to name a few. I also work with adults, families, and couples. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, holistic therapy, and hypnotherapy. I also utilize mindfulness meditation as a tool to aid in greater personal awareness. My approach is tailored to meet each individual’s needs.
